Josh serves as the Lead Pastor for Existence. He is our primary teaching pastor, he oversees all staff, and directs the overall vision for the church. Josh’s passion is found in communicating the Word of God in ways that are fresh and relevant.

While studying Pastoral Ministry at Nyack College (BA, Pastoral Ministry, 2002), Josh served as the Youth Pastor for Meadowbrook Church in North Haledon, New Jersey and part-time director for marketing at Jacksonville Chapel in Wayne, New Jersey. Josh has been in ministry for over ten years and is currently working on his Masters Degree focused on Rabbinical Studies.

Josh and his wife, Kim, live in San Carlos. Kim is the head of marketing for a Physical Therapy company in San Diego.

As Teaching Pastor, Shawn serves closely with Josh to help carry out the overall vision for Existence Church. He oversees the community aspects for Existence (including Life Groups), helps to set vision and direction, and teaches once a month. Shawn approaches ministry with a passion to see people grow in their relationship with God as they grow in their relationship with other people.

Shawn graduated with a Psychology/Pastoral Ministry degree from Nyack College in 2000 and went on to finish a Masters Degree in Theology from Alliance Theological Seminary in 2002. Prior to starting Existence with Josh, Shawn served as a small group pastor at Jacksonville Chapel in Wayne, New Jersey.

Shawn got married to his wide Rebekah in May 2008. Rebekah just finished her graduate studies in History at the University of Alabama.

As Pastor of Couples Life, Chad specializes in loving and caring for couples on all levels. Chad has a passion to help couples grow in their relationship with each other through intentionality and honest communication and serves to oversee large-scale events for Existence.

In 1996-2000, Chad founded and directed Masters Commission in Hampton, New Jersey. Masters Commission is a nine month ministry training/discipleship program for college students all across the world. In 2000-2004, Chad also founded and directed another Masters Commission in San Diego, CA. In 2004, Chad started San Diego Church, which later merged together with Existence Church in January of 2008.

Chad is married to Nicole and has one daughter Miracle (8). Nicole is a real estate agent in the San Diego area.

Gerry Limpic has served as the Worship Pastor for Existence since March 2006. Born in San Diego, CA, Gerry has been involved in music ministry most of his life as a recording artist, songwriter, and worship leader. He received a B.A. in Liberal Studies from San Diego State University and a M.A. in Counseling from National University. Gerry has been a California State licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for over 20 years.

Gerry is married to Leigh with two sons; Ben (17) and Sam (16). Leigh manages the Los Angeles branch of Gevity, a Human Resources Outsourcing company.

Katie serves as the Director of Children's Ministry at Existence and is a ministry assistant to the entire staff. Katie has a sincere love for children and works with an incredible group of leaders to run our Children's Ministry.

Katie is attending San Diego State University majoring in Art History. She is originally from the Santa Rosa area and has been on staff since 2005. In Katie's spare time she can be found with a paintbrush in hand.

Geoff serves as the Director of Reach the City for Existence. Reach the City is the outreach based ministry of Existence Church. Geoff's passion is to creatively and effectively enable Existence Church to serve and connect with the people of San Diego.

Geoff is currently a student at San Diego Christian College studying Pastoral Ministry and plans to graduate in the fall of 2009. Geoff is originally from Anaheim, California and is a die hard Los Angeles Lakers fan.

Ryan serves as the Director of Communications for Existence and has been on staff since September of 2006. Ryan is responsible for overseeing the website, all technical areas of Existence, and lending a hand wherever help is needed.

Ryan graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Theology and Christian Ministry at Point Loma Nazarene University in 2006. After graduation, Ryan spent the entire summer traveling around the world. In his spare time, Ryan enjoys surfing and snowboarding to relax.
